The Windows 10 technical preview for phones is expected to be launched sometime this month. While the update is expected to be available for all Windows Phone 8 devices, only a select list of handsets will be first in line for the first wave of the technical preview
Now, according to tweet sent out my Gabriel Aul, head of Microsoft's Windows 10 Insider program, a list of Windows 10 technical preview supported devices will be shared "very, very soon."
Earlier this week, Gabriel Aul said that Windows 10 was running "very smooth" on the Lumia 635 - which means other handsets with 512 MB of RAM should be able to run the new version of the OS just fine. However, Microsoft warned that some low-end smartphones might not get all the new features included in Windows 10.
In any case, it may be time to grab the Windows Phone Insider Program app and keep your fingers crossed.
