Google is expected to unveil Android M during the Google I/O conference. From a look at what the topics will be for various I/O sessions, we can draw some conclusions on what we can expect from the next version of Android. One such feature is called "Voice Access" and developers at Google I/O will get to hear from Google how to add hands-free capabilities to their app. "Nearby" is another feature that was hinted at in the Google I/O schedule with a session called "Proximity-based communication" listed. It seems that Android M will allow Android users to "discover" and communicate with other Android users, well, nearby. It isn't known whether the other parties will have to be using Android M or if any recent build of the OS will do. Material Design will continue to be a big part of Android as multiple sessions based on the feature are planned for Google I/O. One such talk is titled "Bringing Material Design to life on Android." VR also could be part of Android M. One session at Google I/O will "explore virtual reality and how it may change our lives."
